Fat Content

Since the body makes use of fat as a form of energy storage, it is therefore essential for us to consume foods that have high fat content (good fat). Ricotta is an excellent source of omega fatty acid, known to be very important in keeping the body energized. Fatty acids are not naturally produced by the body so it really makes sense to get them from the food we eat every day.

Protein Content

Another important form of macronutrient which is found in Ricotta is protein. A half cup serving of this food stuff gives you 14 grams of protein. Take note that protein is a very essential macronutrient your body needs to have especially when it is currently building and maintaining muscles. The structure of the human body is made of protein so it is essential to include protein-rich foods in our daily diet.

In addition, protein is also very important when it comes to the repair of damaged tissues. Obviously, the human body does not store proteins so it is highly suggested that protein-rich foods such as Ricotta should be included in our diet every day.
